Homesickness

When your child leaves home for the first time, it is almost expected for him or her to feel sad. Counselors are trained to deal with these kinds of problems and know how to make children feel at ease. Despite our efforts, some children might hide their feelings from others. You can help your child to avoid this by encouraging him or her to communicate with his or her counselor. They will be available at any time to listen to any complications that your child might have. In case of persisting problems, Ariane Larouche will inform you, making reasonable efforts to reach you.
Please do not promise your child he may return home if he feels homesick. Usually, a little effort on the child's part, as well as help from the counselors, should be enough for children to enjoy their stay fully.
